ALIF accounts and financial services are not yet generally available. Before they are, we will publish an updated privacy policy that covers them.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Early access. When you join the early access list, we collect your email address. We also record when you joined and whether you have confirmed your address.

Messages. When you write to us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach.

Information collected automatically

Usage and device information. When you use the website or the demo, we collect information about how you use them, such as the pages you visit, when you leave them, the elements you click and where on a page you click or move your pointer. We also collect technical information about your browser and device, and about errors that occur while you use the site. The text of what you click is masked and not collected.

Session recordings. On public pages and in the demo, we may record how a page is used, such as scrolling and clicks. All text and every form field are masked, so the words on screen and anything you type are not captured. We do not record signed-in pages or the page used to confirm your email address.

Security information. When you use the early access form, a security check processes technical information such as your IP address and signals from your browser and device, to confirm that a person is signing up. We also use IP addresses to limit repeated attempts. We do not store your IP address with your early access registration.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• run the website and the demo, and remember your preferences;
• manage your early access registration, including confirming your email address;
• send you updates about ALIF and its availability, and reply to your messages;
• keep the website and the signup form secure, and prevent spam, fraud and abuse;
• understand how the website and the demo are used, and fix problems; and
• comply with legal obligations and protect the rights of ALIF and others.

We do not use your information for advertising.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only as follows.

Service providers. We work with service providers that host our website and email, store data, send our emails, provide analytics and protect the signup form. They process personal information on our behalf, under our instructions, only for the purposes described in this policy.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of ALIF, our users or others.

Business transfers. If ALIF is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Analytics, cookies and similar technologies

Analytics. We use PostHog, through its EU region, for product analytics and session recordings. To recognise a returning browser, PostHog stores a random identifier in your browser’s cookies and local storage. We do not link it to your name, and we do not send your email address or your confirmation link to PostHog. Our analytics are set not to store IP addresses.

Security check. The early access form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs only once you start using the form. Cloudflare processes the information described above on our behalf.

Preferences and the demo. We use your browser’s local storage to remember your appearance setting, whether you have seen the demo tour, and the sample data you create in the demo. This information stays in your browser.

Signing in. If you sign in to an ALIF account you have been invited to, a cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, or until you sign out.

You can remove or block cookies and stored data in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you will not be able to stay signed in.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as the law requires.

• Early access: until you ask us to remove you, or until the early access program ends.
• Usage information: up to 12 months. Session recordings: up to 30 days.
• Messages: as long as needed to respond and keep a record of our correspondence.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and access limited to the people who need it. Confirmation links expire and can be used only once. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority.

To remove your email address from the early access list, stop receiving updates, or make a request about your information, write to hello@alif.cash. We may need to verify your request before we act on it.

International processing

ALIF Global, Inc. is a Delaware corporation. Our service providers may process personal information in the United States, the European Union and other countries, whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Children

The website and the early access list are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new date and, if a change is significant, take reasonable steps to let you know, such as by email if you are on the early access list.
