Business

A dollar account for companiesthat sell and pay abroad.

Revenue arrives from customers in several countries. Staff and suppliers are paid in theirs. ALIF Business keeps the company's money in one US dollar balance between the two.

Collect, pay, approve and spend from one dollar balance, with both sides of every payment on the record.

What ALIF Business does. Each of these runs in the Business demo, on sample data.

  1. 01

    Collect

Revenue from customers and platforms in other markets arrives in one place, in dollars, with the customer's own figure kept beside it and a record of where each payment came from.

  2. 02

    Pay people

Staff and contractors saved once, paid in their own currency from the company balance. You choose what each person receives and see the cost before it leaves.

  3. 03

    Pay suppliers

Invoices in one place, so it is clear what is owed and when. Each supplier is paid in the currency on their invoice.

  4. 04

    Treasury

What the company has, what is committed to payments waiting for approval, and what is owed to it, in one dollar view.

  5. 05

    Team cards and controls

Cards for the people who spend on the company's behalf, each with its own limit, and roles that decide who can pay and who approves.

Approvals

A second approval before a large payment leaves.

A deposit on a purchase order is often the largest payment a trading company makes in a month. It should be checked by someone other than the person who prepared it. In the Business demo you can try it as both people.

  1. 01

    A payment is prepared

Someone on the team enters the supplier and what the supplier should receive, in the currency on their invoice.

  2. 02

    The cost is shown

The rate, the fee and the dollars that will leave the balance are on screen before it is submitted.

  3. 03

It waits for a second person

Above a threshold the company sets, the payment is held for another admin. The money is reserved, so it cannot be promised twice.

  4. 04

    It is released

Once approved, it is sent. Who prepared it, who approved it and when stay on the payment's record.

Who it is for

Companies whose customers, suppliers and people are in different countries.

  • Software & SaaS

Subscriptions and annual contracts from customers abroad, engineers and tools paid in other currencies. The same account from the first customer to the first team.

  • Agencies & services

Clients pay in pounds, euros or dollars; freelancers are paid in theirs. Both sides pass through one balance, so a project's margin is easy to see.

  • Import & export

Buyers in one country, suppliers in another. Each side pays or is paid in its own currency, and large supplier payments wait for a second approval.

  • Distributed teams

People paid where they live, in the currency they use, on a schedule per person. ALIF handles the payment, not payroll, tax or employment.

ALIF Business card

Cards for company spending.

Issued on the business account, so team purchases draw on company money rather than on someone’s personal balance. Each card has its own monthly limit and controls for online and overseas use.

ALIF is not a payroll provider or an employer of record, and it does not offer trade finance or letters of credit.
